About Club HR Connect

A community built by HR leaders,
for HR leaders.

Club HR Connect exists to end the isolation that comes with being the only HR person at your club. We bring Ontario's club HR community together in one trusted, members-only space.

Our mission

Bridging the gap between HR professionals in Ontario's clubs.

HR in the club industry is a unique role. You're often a department of one, supporting seasonal teams, culinary staff, grounds crews, and member-facing service — all under one roof. The challenges you face don't map cleanly onto the corporate HR playbook.

Club HR Connect was founded to bridge that gap. Whether you're at a private golf club, a yacht club, a curling rink, or a country club, our mission is simple: create a collaborative platform where you can share knowledge, access vetted resources, and build real relationships with peers who understand your world.

We're not venture-backed. We don't run ads. Every decision is made by the HR leaders who use the platform — and the platform grows in the direction our members point it.

What we stand for

Four principles that shape every decision.

Practical over theoretical

Every template, guide, and event is rooted in the day-to-day realities of club HR — not generic corporate frameworks.

Peers helping peers

We favour real stories and battle-tested advice over marketing content. Members are the subject matter experts.

Privacy by default

Your data, your club, your profile — protected. Directory visibility is always your choice.

Ontario-first

Compliance, legislation, and context tuned to Ontario's club industry. No translating US templates.

Our story

From coffee meetups
to a province-wide
network.

Four years from first dinner to today. No pitch decks, no venture capital — just HR leaders organizing themselves.

  1. 2021

    Informal meetups

A handful of HR directors at Ontario golf clubs begin meeting over coffee to trade templates and advice.

  2. 2022

    The founding circle

Twelve HR leaders formalize the group, pool their best resources, and draft what a shared library could look like.

  3. 2023

    Club HR Connect launches

The members-only platform goes live with a vetted library, member directory, and event calendar.

  4. Today

    A province-wide network

Hundreds of HR professionals across dozens of clubs contribute, connect, and shape the community together.

The networking alone is worth it. I've built real relationships with HR leaders I now call whenever a tricky situation comes up.
